Galatasaray surged ahead in the series against Banvit following the home win. The game was mostly controlled by Galatasaray. Banvit managed to win second period 18-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American guard Preston Shumpert (198-79, college: Syracuse) who scored 22 points and 8 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Jerry Johnson (183-82, college: Rider, agency: Beo Basket) chipped in 16 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was American-Azerbaijan forward Charles Davis (202-84, college: Alabama) who recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds and American guard Keith Simmons (196-85, college: Holy Cross, agency: Interperformances) added 16 points respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
