Very important is a road loss of third ranked Ikaroi Serron (18-11) against fourteenth ranked Koroivos (11-18) on Saturday night. Visiting Ikaroi Serron was defeated by Koroivos in Koroivos 85-74. The hosts trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-74. Koroivos made 40-of-43 free shots (93.0 percent) during the game, while Ikaroi Serron only scored sixteen points from the stripe. Koroivos forced 19 Ikaroi Serron turnovers. Ikaroi Serron was plagued by 28 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Nikos Pettas (195-81) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points, 15 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals (was perfect 18-for-18 from the free throw line !!!). Loser Ikaroi Serron keeps the third position with 11 games lost. Koroivos will face higher ranked Pagrati (#13) in Athens in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Ikaroi Serron will play at home against Ermis Lagkada (#10) in Lagadas.
