No shocking result in a game in Kesariani where thirteenth ranked Pagrati (12-17) defeated bottom-ranked Near East (8-21) 70-66 on Saturday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Near East won third quarter 18-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Near East 45-31 including 32 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was forward Dimitris Lolas (203-86, agency: FCM) who had a double-double by scoring 18 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Kostas Macheras (205-85, agency: FCM) chipped in a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds. Four Pagrati players scored in double figures. Forward Nikos Tsoutsos (203-82) produced 17 points and 7 rebounds and Serbian guard Milan Stanojevic (188-86, college: E.Washington) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Pagrati moved-up to eleventh place, which they share with Olimpiada and Periko/Arhelaos. Loser Near East stay at the bottom position with 21 games lost.
