Important game to mention about took place in New Eritrea. Fifteenth ranked Panerythraikos (11-18) saved a 2-point victory at home edging second-ranked AGOR (19-10) 68-66 on Saturday evening. It was quite big embarassment for the guest team. It looked good early as AGOR took an 10-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Panerythraikos took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. AGOR was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. Forward Nikos Pritsos (197-82) orchestrated the victory by scoring 16 points and 6 rebounds. Cypriot guard Andreas Sizopoulos (189-83) contributed with 13 points for the winners. Guard Spyridon Magounis (200-85, agency: FCM) answered with 14 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Tasos Charismidis (203-81, agency: FCM) added 9 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for AGOR. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Panerythraikos moved-up to fourteenth place, which they share with Koroivos. AGOR at the other side keeps the second position with ten games lost. Panerythraikos will play against higher ranked Arkadikos (#5) in Arkadia in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. AGOR will play at home against AEK/Argous and hopes to get back on the winning track.
