Regular Season Round 4: Huracanes - Fuerza Regia 65-60

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Fuerza Regia (3-1) in Tampico on Saturday night. Visitors were defeated by tenth ranked Huracanes (2-2) 65-60. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Fuerza Regia. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 16-11. But Fuerza Regia won second period 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Huracanes dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Fuerza Regia's 28. They outrebounded Fuerza Regia 34-20 including 24 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of Canadian guard Stephen Sir (195-82, college: N.Arizona) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 5 rebounds. American power forward Robert Hornsby (196-82, college: Troy) contributed with 13 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American guard Chris Roberts (193-88, college: Bradley) replied with 15 points and international guard Andre Joseph Tyronzic (191-81, college: Oregon) added 12 points in the effort for Fuerza Regia. Huracanes moved-up to eighth place. Fuerza Regia at the other side keeps the third position with one game lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Huracanes are looking forward to face Panteras (#11) in Aguascalientes in the next round. Fuerza Regia will play at home against Aguilas Rojas (#9) in San Juan and is hoping to win this game.
