There was no surprise in Sao Paolo where 12th ranked Americana (3-7) was defeated by sixth ranked Pinheiros/Sky (7-3) 92-76. The game was mostly controlled by Pinheiros/Sky. Americana was better in third quarter 26-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pinheiros/Sky shot 61.4 percent from the field. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. Pinheiros/Sky brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. It was a good game for naturalized American forward Shamell Stallworth (196-80, college: USF, agency: Interperformances) who led his team to a victory with 21 points.
