Rather predictable result when ninth ranked Correcaminos (4-4) won against 12th ranked Aguilas Rojas (1-8) in Ciudad Victoria 93-77. The game was mostly controlled by Correcaminos. Aguilas Rojas was better in second period 25-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Aguilas Rojas 48-35 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was American point guard Myron Allen (180-79, college: Lee JC) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield, agency: Dream Team Management) chipped in 20 points and 6 rebounds. The victory was the third consecutive win for Correcaminos. They moved-up to eighth place, which they share with Huracanes. Aguilas Rojas lost their sixth game in a row. They dropped to the thirteenth position with eight games lost. Correcaminos' next round opponent will be Soles (#10) in Mexicali. Aguilas Rojas will play on the road against Huracanes in Tampico.
