The game had a very big importance for fifth-ranked Quimsa as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Quimsa defeated 4th ranked Olimpico de La Banda in Santiado Estero 83-74. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 34-14. But Olimpico de La Banda won second period 22-9. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening.
