Bottom-ranked Volcanes (0-10) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their tenth consecutive match to seventh ranked Pioneros (6-4) 138-55 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Pioneros led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Volcanes to just 5 points in third quarter. Pioneros shot 61.7 percent from the field. They outrebounded Volcanes 52-21 including a 40-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. Pioneros shot the lights out from three sinking 24 long-distance shots on high 51.1 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Volcanes' players. The former international swingman Romel Beck (203-82, college: UNLV, agency: Interperformances) fired 43 points (!!!) for the winners. American forward John Millsap (198-82, college: UTSA) chipped in 29 points and 7 rebounds (on 11-of-13 shooting from the field). Millsap is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Pioneros players scored in double figures. Pioneros' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
