We should mention about the upset which took place in Santos, where higher ranked Araraquara (6-5) lost to thirteenth ranked Inter Santos (2-9) in a road game 95-102. Araraquara was tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Inter Santos players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 33 personal fouls committed by Araraquara helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities.
