There was a small surprise when tenth ranked Caceres 2016 (1-1) beat at home 8th ranked Melilla Baloncesto (1-1) 85-72 on Friday. The game without a history. Caceres 2016 led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Caceres 2016 shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 53.8 percentage. The best player for the winners was power forward Jose Angel Antelo (203-87) who scored 29 points and 6 rebounds. Guard Pedro Robles (192-77) chipped in 19 points. American guard Troy DeVries (193-82, college: N.Mexico) produced 23 points and 5 rebounds and Nigerian power forward Chukwudinma Odiakosa (203-85, college: Illinois St., agency: N.E.T.) added 8 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Melilla Baloncesto's coach tested eleven players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Caceres 2016 left bottom position moving up to sixth place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Melilla Baloncesto. Caceres 2016 will face Baloncesto Leon (#17) at home in the next round which should be an easy win for them.
