The game had a very big importance for fifth-ranked Nitra as it allowed them to take a leadership position after previous leader's (SKP Banska Bystrica) loss. Nitra defeated bottom-ranked Vahostav-Zilina at home 84-73. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Nitra.
