The game between first ranked Nitra (2-1) and 8th ranked Handlova (1-2) in Nitra on Wednesday ended with biggest points difference. Nitra outscored guests from Handlova 97-65. The game without a history. Nitra led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Handlova's 26. They outrebounded Handlova 50-25 including a 36-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. Despite that victory Nitra went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Prievidza and Svit. Loser Handlova dropped to the sixth place with two games lost. They share the position with Levice. Nitra will meet Levice (#7) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Handlova will play against Vahostav-Zilina.
