An interesting game for Hokkaido L. (1-1) which played road game in Osaka against Hitachi Sunrockers (1-1). Hokkaido L. managed to get a 2-point victory 72-70. Hitachi Sunrockers were ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 39-35 second half run of Hokkaido L.. They made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. American forward Jai Lewis (201-83, college: George Mason, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) stepped up and scored 16 points and 7 assists for the winners and international guard Ryota Sakurai (194-83) chipped in 14 points and 6 rebounds. Despite that victory Hokkaido L. went down to third position due to points difference, which they share with 3 other teams including defeated Hitachi Sunrockers. Hokkaido L. will play against league's leader Aishin Sea Horses in Kariya in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Hitachi Sunrockers will play on the road against Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa to get more than just one victory in their record.
