The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Adelaide 36ers (0-1) in Findon on Saturday night. Hosts were rolled over by leader Perth Wildcats (1-0) 102-69. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Perth Wildcats led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They shot the lights out from three sinking 14 long-distance shots on high 56.0 percentage. Perth Wildcats looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. American point guard Kevin Lisch (188-86, college: St.Louis, agency: Warren Sports International) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 assists for the winners and the former international forward Shawn Redhage (203-81, college: Arizona St., agency: Warren Sports International) chipped in 26 points and 5 rebounds. Perth Wildcats' coach felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side center Daniel Johnson (212-88, college: Pepperdine) responded with 15 points and 8 rebounds and international swingman Stephen Weigh (198-87) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Defending champion left bottom position moving up to second place, which they share with Tigers and Taipans. Adelaide 36ers at the other side still closes the standings with one game lost. They share the position with 4 other teams. Perth Wildcats is looking forward to face Melbourne Tigers (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
