Regular Season Round 3: Heffingen - BBC Nitia 64-66

A very interesting game took place in . It ended with only two-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Heffingen (0-3) to eighth ranked BBC Nitia (1-2) 66-64 on Sunday evening. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Heffingen won fourth quarter 16-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 25 personal fouls committed by Heffingen helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. It was an exceptional evening for American power forward William Arre (199-86, college: Lock Haven, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) who led the winners with a double-double by scoring 33 points (!!!) and 15 rebounds. Latvian power forward Janis Poznaks (202-83) accounted for 13 points for the winning side. American forward William Walker (201-87, college: Bethel (IN), agency: Warren Sports International) came up with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 17 rebounds and Portuguese power forward Helder Carvalho (205-84) added 10 points and 11 rebounds respectively for Heffingen in the defeat. Heffingen's coach Bill Paterno tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. BBC Nitia left bottom position moving up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. It was Heffingen's third loss in a row. Heffingen at the other side, also newcomer in the league, still closes the standings with three games lost. BBC Nitia's next round opponent will be Sparta (#5) in Bertrange. Heffingen will play at home against Basket Esch (#3) and hopes to get finally their first victory.
