Regular Season Round 3: Chartres - Angers BC 49 63-76

There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Angers BC 49 (1-2) won against on the road higher ranked Chartres (1-2) 76-63 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Angers BC 49. Chartres managed to win fourth quarter 23-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Tyray Pearson (201-80, college: Iowa St.) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds. Guard Olivier Sulpice (192-77) chipped in 13 points. At the other side the best for losing team was Serbian center Ljubomir Avramovic (201-79) who recorded 18 points and 8 rebounds and center Herve Jalce (201-80) added 15 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Angers BC 49 left bottom position moving up to tenth place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Chartres. Angers BC 49 will meet at home Etendard de Brest (#16) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Chartres will play against Montbrison (#18).
