Regular Season Round 3: Pogon Prudnik - WKK Wroclaw 91-56

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both fifth ranked Pogon Prudnik and 4th placed WKK Obiekty had identical 2-1 record. This time Pogon Prudnik used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Wroclaw 91-56 on Wednesday night. It was a key game for the second position in Group B. The game without a history. Pogon Prudnik led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to WKK Obiekty's 30. Pogon Prudnik forced 19 WKK Obiekty turnovers and outrebounded them 29-15 including 19 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Pogon Prudnik made 9 blocks. It was a good game for forward Jaroslaw Pawlowski (194-80) who led his team to a victory with 34 points (!!!) and 8 rebounds (on 13-of-15 shooting from the field). Guard Bartosz Trytek (190-77) contributed with 12 points for the winners. The former international forward Bartosz Diduszko (198-87) answered with 17 points and 5 rebounds and point guard Jan Grzelinski (179-94) added 15 points and 4 steals in the effort for WKK Obiekty. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pogon Prudnik (3-1) moved-up to second place in Group B, which they share with MCKiS Jaworz. and BM Wegiel Stal. Loser WKK Obiekty dropped to the fifth position with two games lost. Pogon Prudnik will face league's second-placed MCKiS Jaworz. in Jaworzno in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. WKK Obiekty will play on the road against MKS Skierniew. in Skierniewice.
