Regular Season Round 1: KR - Hamar 73-60

Very important is a road loss of Hamar (0-1) against KR (1-0) on Wednesday night. Visiting Hamar was defeated by KR in Reykjavik 73-60. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by KR. Hamar managed to win third quarter 21-13. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. KR forced 24 Hamar turnovers. American guard Reyana Colson (167, college: Cal Poly Pomona, agency: World Sport Agency) stepped up and scored 19 points and 9 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Margret Sturludottir (178-89, college: Elon) chipped in 16 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Four KR players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Hannah Tuomi (185-89, college: Vanderbilt) responded with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 18 rebounds and the other American import guard Samantha Murphy (172, college: Grand Canyon) scored 20 points and 8 rebounds. KR will meet Njardvik on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Hamar will play against Keflavik.
