Regular Season Round 5: Horsens IC - Aalborg 109-90

Horsens IC's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after four consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Aalborg (1-4) 109-90. The game was mostly controlled by Horsens IC. Aalborg was better in fourth quarter 30-28. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Horsens IC dominated down low during the game scoring 84 of its points in the paint compared to Aalborg's 60. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 34 assists comparing to just 10 passes made by Aalborg's players. American players dominated the game. Forward Will Harris (198-86, college: Albany) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 36 points (!!!), 11 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners and power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle) chipped in 13 points, 15 rebounds and 9 assists. St.John is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Horsens IC players scored in double figures. Forward Tony Bishop (201-89, college: Texas St.) responded with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 16 rebounds and point guard Ryan White (177-88, college: Texas St.) scored 32 points. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Horsens IC left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Aalborg and Vaerlose. Horsens IC will play against higher ranked Falcon (#6) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Aalborg will play against the league's leader Bakken and will have a slim chance for a victory.
