Regular Season Round 5: Namika Lahti - Nilan Bisons 75-84

Very expected game when 10th ranked Namika Lahti (1-4) was defeated at home by leader Loimaan Korikonkarit (3-0) 84-75. It looked good early as Namika Lahti took an 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Loimaan Korikonkarit took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 9 points. American guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. International guard Mikko Koivisto (194-87, college: NC-Greensboro) contributed with 21 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Ville Makalainen (194-85, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) answered with 17 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists and American forward Keena Young (198-85, college: BYU) added 19 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Namika Lahti. Five Loimaan Korikonkarit and four Namika Lahti players scored in double figures. Loimaan Korikonkarit have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain third place with 3-0 record behind leader Kataja. Namika Lahti lost fourth consecutive game. They dropped to the bottom position with four games lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit's next round opponent will be league's leader Joensuun Kataja at home and it will be for sure the game of the week. Namika Lahti will play against Torpan Pojat (#5) in Helsinki.
