Important game to mention about took place in Buenos Aires. First ranked Boca Juniors (5-3) saved a 1-point victory at home edging 8th ranked Quilmes MP (2-6) 86-85 on Friday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Quilmes MP was ahead by 3 points at the halftime before a 21-13 third quarter run of Boca Juniors. They made 28-of-36 charity shots (77.8 percent) during the game, while Quilmes MP only scored twelve points from the stripe. Quilmes MP was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was an exceptional evening for the former international guard Maximiliano Stanic (178-78, agency: Players Group) who led the winners and scored 22 points, 8 assists and 4 steals. American guard Larry OBannon (194-83, college: Louisville, agency: Interperformances) accounted for 15 points and 4 steals for the winning side.
