One of their biggest challengers Girona FC (2-2) fell to seventh ranked Ford Burgos (3-1) in overtime by five points 78-83 on Friday night. It was a key game for the second position in the league. Girona FC was trailing by 4 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 13-12 charge of Ford Burgos, which allowed them to tie the game at the end of regular time. Ford Burgos moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Girona FC dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Ford Burgos will face Caceres 2016 (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Girona FC will play against Basquet Mallorca (#7) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
