An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Adelaide. Top-ranked Sydney Uni Flames faced second-ranked Adelaide Lightning. But then Sydney Uni Flames had a 20-12 second period charge getting the lead and Adelaide Lightning was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 65-70. American forward Amy Denson (186-84, college: Arizona St.) orchestrated the victory by scoring 25 points and 5 rebounds. The former international forward Belinda Snell (181-81) contributed with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 7 assists for the winners. The former international center Suzy Batkovic-Brown (193-80) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and international center Abby Bishop (189-88) added 16 points and 9 rebounds in the effort for Adelaide Lightning. Sydney Uni Flames have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Townsville F. Adelaide Lightning at the other side dropped to the fourth place with one game lost. They share the position with Bulleen B. and Dandenong R.. Sydney Uni Flames will play against Logan Thunder (#3) in Loganholme in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Adelaide Lightning will play at home against AIS in Belconnen to get more than just one victory in their record.
