No shocking result in a game in Steinsel where fourth ranked Amicale (3-1) smashed 6th ranked Soleuvre (1-3) 92-65 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Amicale. Soleuvre managed to win second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Amicale forced 19 Soleuvre turnovers and outrebounded them 50-33 including a 32-21 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Demetrius Brown (201-83, college: San Jose St.) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 25 points and 10 rebounds and Croatian power forward Ivan Buntic (207-91) who added 11 points and 12 rebounds during the contest. Four Amicale players scored in double figures. Coach Kresimir Basic's team controlled all game and the coach could let to play all 12 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the losing side American Lamonte Ulmer (198-86, college: Rhode Island, agency: Impact Basketball) responded with a double-double by scoring 23 points, 14 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 steals and Belgian power forward Dimitri Jorssen (212-79, college: Utah St.) produced a double-double by scoring 20 points and 14 rebounds. Amicale moved-up to second place, which they share with Etzella and Basket Esch. Soleuvre lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the seventh position with three games lost. They share it with Musel Pikes and BBC Nitia. Amicale will meet at home league's leader T71 in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Soleuvre will play against Heffingen (#10).
