Very important is a road loss of third ranked Handlopex AZS (2-1) against eleventh ranked Staco MNLK (2-2) on Saturday night. Visiting Handlopex AZS was defeated by Staco MNLK in Niepolomice 79-63. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Handlopex AZS. The game without a history. Staco MNLK led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Staco MNLK forced 25 Handlopex AZS turnovers and outrebounded them 43-18 including a 15-2 advantage in offensive rebounds. Staco MNLK brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. The winners were led by forward Jakub Dziura (202-81) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 21 points and 12 rebounds and guard Szymon Kunc (193-80) supported him with 14 points and 5 assists. Even 23 points by forward Piotr Ucinek (196-80) did not help to save the game for Handlopex AZS. Guard Jakub Musijowski (175-87) added 13 points (made all of his seven free throws) for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Staco MNLK moved-up to fifth place in Group C, which they share with 5 other teams. Handlopex AZS at the other side keeps the third position with one game lost. Staco MNLK's next round opponent will be higher ranked Tur Bielsk Pdl.
