Regular Season Round 5: LrNMKY - Korihait 90-85

LrNMKY has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat UU-Korihait (1-3) 90-85 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 24-17. But UU-Korihait won second period 22-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded UU-Korihait 32-21 including 23 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Tyler Tiedeman (201-85, college: Boise St., agency: Interperformances) who had a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds. His fellow American import forward Lawrence Hamm (198-84, college: Towson, agency: Court Side) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds. point guard Mikko Jalonen (186-82) produced 24 points and American forward Cory Johnson (200-88, college: Valparaiso, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 18 points respectively for the guests. Four UU-Korihait players scored in double figures. LrNMKY left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with KTP and Korihait. LrNMKY will meet KTP-Basket (#9) in the next round. UU-Korihait will play against Kouvot in Kouvola.
