Regular Season Round 3: Quimper - Limoges 58-65

The game in Quimper was also quite interesting. Leader Limoges CSP Elite (3-0) played at the court of 8th ranked Quimper UJAP (1-2). Limoges CSP Elite managed to secure a 7-point victory 65-58 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 26-16. But Quimper UJAP won second period 19-11. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American power forward Christophe Massie (206-77, college: Memphis, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 11 points and 15 rebounds. The former international guard Joseph Gomis (180-78) chipped in 18 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. At the other side the best for losing team was Nigerian-British power forward Andrew Lovedale (203-85, college: Davidson) who recorded 15 points and 7 rebounds and Aurelien Salmon (204-87) added 9 points and 6 rebounds respectively. Quimper UJAP's coach let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Limoges CSP Elite have a solid series of three victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Fos Ouest and Boulazac. Loser Quimper UJAP keeps the eighth place with two games lost. They share the position with 9 other teams. Limoges CSP Elite will meet Aix-Maurienne (#13) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Quimper UJAP will play against SO Maritime Boulogne (#15).
