Regular Season Round 4: Heffingen - Basket Esch 67-74

Bottom-ranked Heffingen (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 74-67 loss to third ranked Basket Esch (3-1) in on Saturday evening. But it was rather predictable considering how strong their opponent was. Heffingen trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 17-12 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 67-74 at the end of the game. Worth to mention a great performance of international forward Martin Rajniak (204-78, college: CSU Bakersfield) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and American swingman John Reimold (198-81, college: Bowling Green) who added 14 points, 12 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. At the losing side American forward William Walker (201-87, college: Bethel (IN), agency: Warren Sports International) responded with 18 points and 9 rebounds and guard Domigue Benseghir (183-85) scored 19 points. Basket Esch moved-up to second place, which they share with Etzella and Amicale. Newly promoted Heffingen still closes the standings with four games lost. Basket Esch will meet Musel Pikes (#8) in the next round where they are favorite. Heffingen will play against Soleuvre in Belvaux and hopes to get finally their first victory.
