Regular Season Round 4: Nice - Landes 57-58

Bottom-ranked Nice is still unable to win any game. This time they could not use their home court advantage losing their fourth consecutive match to fifth ranked Basket Landes (3-1) 58-57 on Saturday evening. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 14-10 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a very good performance for international swingman Marion Laborde (178-86) who helped to win the game recording 19 points and 5 rebounds. Forward Julie Barennes (183-86) contributed with 13 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Canadian center Krysten Boogaard (195-88, college: Kansas) replied with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds and Senegalese center Jeanne Senghor (191-82) added 6 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Nice. Nice's coach Olga Tarasenko rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Basket Landes have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Nice still closes the standings with four games lost. Basket Landes will face Villeneuve D'Asco (#8) at home in the next round where they are favorite. Nice will play against Mondeville (#7) and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
