Regular Season Round 3: Siarka Jezioro - Kotwica 81-84

A very interesting game took place in Tarnobrzeg. It ended with only three-point home defeat of higher ranked Siarka Jezioro (1-2) to eleventh ranked Kotwica (2-1) 84-81 on Saturday evening. Siarka Jezioro was ahead by 8 points after three quarters before a 27-16 charge of Kotwica, which allowed them to win the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Siarka Jezioro helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American players dominated the game. The best player for the winners was power forward Darrell Harris (208-84, college: Rhode Island) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Jessie Sapp (191-86, college: Georgetown) chipped in 14 points and 7 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard J.T. Tiller (191-88, college: Missouri) who recorded 20 points and 5 rebounds and forward Nicchaeus Doaks (202-87, college: Chattanooga, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) added 13 points and 9 rebounds respectively. Five Kotwica and four Siarka Jezioro players scored in double figures. Kotwica moved-up to fourth place, which they share with AZS Koszalin and Trefl Sopot. Siarka Jezioro at the other side dropped to the ninth position with two games lost. Kotwica's next round opponent will be AZS Politechnika Warszawska (#9) in Warszawa which should be theoretically an easy game. Siarka Jezioro will play on the road against PBG Basket in Poznan.
