Everything went according to plan in Comodoro R. where fifth ranked GECR Indalo (5-4) beat 8th ranked Quilmes MP (2-6) 64-59 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 10 points after first quarter, but they rallied back and won the game by 5 points. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Fernando Funes (193-83) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 5 rebounds and the former international forward Roberto Gabini (198-75, agency: Interperformances) who added 11 points and 8 rebounds during the contest. Four GECR Indalo players scored in double figures. American forward Louis Truscott (201-78, college: Houston, agency: Hart Sports Mngm) responded with 12 points and 7 rebounds and naturalized American guard Phillip McHopson (188-87, college: Idaho) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. GECR Indalo moved-up to fourth place. Quilmes MP lost third consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with six games lost. GECR Indalo will face higher ranked Boca Juniors (#3) in Buenos Aires in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Quilmes MP will play on the road against Lanus (#6) in Buenos Aires and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
