Regular Season Round 3: Shiga L-Stars - Kyoto Hannar. 78-54

There was a change at the BJ League leadership position after last games. Round 3 most important game was a defeat of league's leader Kyoto Hannar. (1-1). They were crushed by eighth ranked Shiga L-Stars (1-1) 78-54 on Sunday night. The game was mostly controlled by Shiga L-Stars. Kyoto Hannar. managed to win second period 12-6. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kyoto Hannar. to just 6 points in third quarter. It was a great evening for American forward Ray Nixon (203-84, college: Wisconsin) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points and 9 rebounds. Panamanian forward Dionisio Gomez Camargo (203-80, college: Arkansas) helped adding 19 points and 8 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Shiga L-Stars players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was American forward Rick Rickert (211-83, college: Minnesota, agency: SportsTalent) with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds and the other American import center Lance Allred (211-81, college: Weber St., agency: SportsTalent) scored 9 points and 10 rebounds. Shiga L-Stars left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with 6 other teams including defeated Kyoto Hannar. Kyoto Hannar. will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Shiga L-Stars will try to continue on its current victory against fifth ranked Oita Heat Devils at home.
