There was a surprise result when fifteenth ranked Air Avellino (1-1) defeated at home higher ranked CS Bologna (1-1) 96-90 on Sunday. CS Bologna was trailing by 5 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 20-13 charge of Air Avellino, which allowed them to win the game. The best player for the winners was American-FYR Macedonian point guard Marques Green (169-82, college: St.Bonaventure) who scored 26 points and 6 assists. American forward Linton Johnson (203-80, college: Tulane, agency: Priority Sports) chipped in a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field).
