There was no surprise when bottom-ranked Umana Venezia (0-1) was defeated on the road by top-ranked Montepaschi Siena (2-0) 86-76 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Montepaschi Siena. Umana Venezia was better in fourth quarter 20-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Montepaschi Siena made 23-of-27 free shots (85.2 percent) during the game.
