Regular Season Round 3: HBA-Marsky - Huima 87-92

Very expected game in Helsinki where bottom-ranked Torpan Pojat (0-4) was defeated by leader Aanekosken Huima (2-0) 92-87 on Sunday. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 25-19. But Torpan Pojat won second period 28-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Aanekosken Huima especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 66.7 percentage. It was a great evening for American power forward Trey Britton (203-89, college: Anderson) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 12 rebounds. His fellow American import swingman Justice Graham (198-79, college: Glenville St.) helped adding 24 points and 5 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!). The best for the losing side was forward Julius Rajala (200-94) with a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds and Cuban guard Alexis Lavastida (188-77) scored 19 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Torpan Pojat's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Aanekosken Huima moved-up to third place, which they share with Tapiolan Honka. Loser Torpan Pojat still closes the standings with four games lost. Aanekosken Huima will meet at home Pyrinto II (#9) in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Torpan Pojat will play against the league's leader BC Nokia and hopes to get finally their first victory.
