Regular Season Round 3: Piacenza - Prima Veroli 72-68

There was a minor upset when 10th ranked Prima Veroli (1-2) lost to thirteenth ranked Morpho Basket (1-2) in Piacenza 68-72. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Prima Veroli won third quarter 19-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Morpho Basket won last quarter 16-14. Morpho Basket outrebounded Prima Veroli 46-29 including 33 on the defensive glass. The best player for the winners was American forward Dwayne Anderson (198-86, college: Villanova) who had a double-double by scoring 26 points and 18 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Clint Cotis Harrison (194-76, college: N.Carolina St., agency: Court Side) chipped in 13 points and 5 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was Finnish-American forward Gerald Lee (208-87, college: ODU) who recorded 23 points and 6 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American guard Jarrius Jackson (188-85, college: Texas Tech) added 20 points respectively. Morpho Basket left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with 4 other teams including defeated Prima Veroli.
