Very expected game when 7th ranked Chanson V-M (1-5) was edged by third ranked Toyota Antelopes (4-2) in Shizuoka 51-48 on Sunday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. It was a good game for power forward Mami Ikeda (178-81) who led her team to a victory with 8 points, 14 rebounds and 5 assists. The former international forward Ryoko Yano (178-78) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Toyota Antelopes' coach used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. International swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) replied with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 13 rebounds and swingman Key Miho (176-85) added 21 points in the effort for Chanson V-M. Toyota Antelopes moved-up to second place, which they share with JX Sunflowers. Chanson V-M at the other side dropped to the bottom position with five games lost. Toyota Antelopes will face Mitsubishi K. (#6) in the next round. Chanson V-M will play against Airlines R. in Tokyo.
