The game between closely ranked teams ended with 7th ranked UU-Korihait's (2-4) home loss to sixth ranked Kouvot (3-2) 75-89 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 48-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Kouvot forced 19 UU-Korihait turnovers. The game was also dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was guard Antoine Jordan (196-83, college: Siena) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists. Kouvot will face KTP-Basket (#7) in Kotka in the next round. UU-Korihait will play on the road against Salon Vilpas and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
