Regular Season Round 4: Sokol Lancut - Sudety 98-40

Very predictable result when sixth ranked Sokol Lancut (3-1) smashed at home 11th ranked Sudety (1-3) 98-40 on Wednesday. Sokol Lancut dominated on the defensive end, holding Sudety to just 6 points in second and fourth quarters and to 14 points in second half. Sokol Lancut dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sudety's 22. Sokol Lancut forced 20 Sudety turnovers and outrebounded them 40-22 including a 28-14 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists comparing to just 5 passes made by Sudety's players. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Sokol Lancut made 11 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Wojciech Pisarczyk (201-88) who helped to win the game recording 16 points and 9 rebounds and forward Bartosz Dubiel (195-84) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Five Sokol Lancut players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Artur Kijanowski (180-88) responded with 13 points and 4 steals and guard Lukasz Niesobski (185-85) scored 10 points and 4 blocks. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Sokol Lancut moved-up to second place, which they share with Start Gdynia. Newly promoted Sudety keeps the eleventh position with three games lost. Sokol Lancut will face SKK Siedlce (#5) on the road in the next round. Sudety will play against Start Gdynia (#3).
