The game with biggest result difference took place in Helsinki. Local Torpan Pojat (0-4) was outscored by ninth ranked Pyrinto II (1-2) 85-53 on Wednesday night. The guests trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 17-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 85-53. Pyrinto II dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Torpan Pojat's 32. They outrebounded Torpan Pojat 40-26 including a 15-3 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a quality performance of Jari Pulkkinen (203-84) who helped to win the game recording 14 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Miikka Marttinen (196-92) helped adding 15 points and 5 rebounds. Four Pyrinto II players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Harri Hohteri (200-77) with 13 points and 5 rebounds and Cuban guard Alexis Lavastida (188-77) scored 11 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pyrinto II left bottom position moving up to eighth place, which they share with Jyvaskyla. It was Torpan Pojat's fourth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with four games lost. Pyrinto II will meet higher ranked Aanekosken Huima (#3) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Torpan Pojat will play against the league's leader BC Nokia (#1) where they are definitely not considered as a favorite in this game either.
