Regular Season Round 4: Znicz Basket - AZS Kutno 64-56

Very expected game in Pruszkow where 14th ranked AZS Kutno (1-3) was defeated by seventh ranked MKS Znicz Basket (2-1) 64-56 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 2-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 64-56. MKS Znicz Basket forced 22 AZS Kutno turnovers and had a 34-23 advantage in offensive rebounds. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Grzegorz Malewski (200-84) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 11 points and 14 rebounds and guard Adrian Sulinski (185-85) who added 16 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four MKS Znicz Basket players scored in double figures. At the losing side guard Krzysztof Jakobczyk (183-86) responded with 19 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Grzegorz Malecki (197-84, agency: Promotex) scored 18 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks (perfect from the field making all six shots). MKS Znicz Basket moved-up to fourth place, which they share with P.Cukier SIDEn and SKK Siedlce. Newly promoted AZS Kutno dropped to the eleventh position with three games lost. MKS Znicz Basket will face Polonia (#13) in Przemysl in the next round and are hoping to win another game. AZS Kutno will play at home against P.Cukier SIDEn in Torun.
