Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Riga: TTT Riga (#1) and Kolibri/U-16 (#7). TTT Riga (3-0) crushed visiting Kolibri/U-16 (0-3) by 66 points 107-41. The game without a history. TTT Riga led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Kolibri/U-16 to just 6 points in third quarter. TTT Riga dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Kolibri/U-16's 24 and made 28-of-33 charity shots (84.8 percent) during the game, while Kolibri/U-16 only scored five points from the stripe. It was a great evening for international forward Karline Nimane (188-90) who led her team to a victory scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. The best for the losing side was guard Kitija Laksa (180-96) with 14 points and forward Ieva Spigule (179-96) scored 12 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. TTT Riga have a solid series of three victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 3-0 record. Newly promoted Kolibri/U-16 still closes the standings with three games lost. They share the position with LU. TTT Riga's supporters look forward to another derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Riga to the arena Latvijas Universitate.
