Very expected game in Les Milles where 9th ranked Aix-en-Provence (1-4) was crushed by leader Challes-les-Eaux (5-0) 80-54 on Friday. The game without a history. Challes-les-Eaux led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American center Mistie Mims (191-83, college: Duke) stepped up and scored 26 points and 6 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and German forward Romy Bar (189-87, agency: LBM Management) chipped in 16 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Challes-les-Eaux players scored in double figures. Senegalese center Ndeye Ndiaye (191-79, college: S.Nazarene, agency: Josep and Nicolas) responded with 12 points and Spanish guard Tamara Abalde (188-89, agency: Josep and Nicolas) scored 8 points. Challes-les-Eaux have an impressive series of five victories in a row. They maintain first place with 5-0 record, which they share with Lattes Montp. Aix-en-Provence at the other side dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Challes-les-Eaux will face Charleville-Mezieres (#9) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Aix-en-Provence will play against Lyon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
