Regular Season Round 3: Sydney UF - Logan T. 82-67

An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Sydney. Leader Sydney Uni Flames faced 4th placed Logan Thunder. Host Sydney Uni Flames (4-0) defeated guests from Loganholme (2-2) 82-67. The game was mostly controlled by Sydney Uni Flames. Logan Thunder managed to win third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great shooting night for Sydney Uni Flames especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. The best player for the winners was the former international forward Belinda Snell (181-81) who scored 23 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Amy Denson (186-84, college: Arizona St.) chipped in a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. Four Sydney Uni Flames players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was the former international guard Renae Camino (177-86) who recorded 15 points and guard Sarah Graham (163-89) added 14 points respectively. Logan Thunder's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Sydney Uni Flames have a solid series of four victories in a row. They maintain first place with 4-0 record, which they share with Townsville F. Logan Thunder at the other side dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. They share it with Bendigo S.. Sydney Uni Flames is looking forward to face Bendigo Spirit (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Logan Thunder will play against the league's second-placed Townsville Fire and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
