Regular Season Round 4: Akita NH - Iwate Big Bulls 95-75

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Iwate Big Bulls (0-3) were outplayed on the road by fifth ranked Akita Happinets (2-1) 95-75 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Akita Happinets. Iwate Big Bulls was better in fourth quarter 20-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Akita Happinets looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Dutch-American power forward Stanley Ocitti (203-80, college: Binghamton) fired 18 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. American guard Kenny Taylor (192-82, college: Texas) chipped in 17 points and 5 rebounds. American power forward LaShawn Malloy (209-84, college: New Orleans) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and guard Makoto Sawaguchi (184-91) added 20 points respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Akita Happinets moved-up to third place, which they share with 4 other teams. Loser Iwate Big Bulls still closes the standings with three games lost. Akita Happinets will face again Iwate Big Bulls (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game.
