Regular Season Round 5: Hogsbo - Sanda 73-63

No shocking result in a game when eighth ranked Hogsbo (2-3) beat bottom-ranked Sanda Basket (0-4) in Goteborg 73-63 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Hogsbo. Sanda Basket was better in third quarter 21-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hogsbo forced 21 Sanda Basket turnovers. Sanda Basket was plagued by 27 personal fouls down the stretch. Center Robert Isaksson (202-87) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 13 rebounds (on 10-of-12 shooting from the field). Forward Anton Bergang (200-93) contributed with 18 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Hogsbo's coach used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest. Forward Johan Ganstrand (192-93) answered with 17 points and 8 rebounds and guard Adrian Thorangen (195-93) added 16 points in the effort for Sanda Basket. Hogsbo moved-up to seventh place in South, which they share with Helsingborg. Sanda Basket lost their fourth game in a row. They still closes the standings with four games lost. Hogsbo will face Fryshuset (#10) in Stockholm in the next round. Sanda Basket will play at home against IK Eos in Lund and looks forward to get finally their first victory.
