Very important is a road loss of third ranked Benetton Treviso (1-2) against sixth ranked Air Avellino (2-1) on Saturday night. Visiting Benetton Treviso was defeated by Air Avellino in a tough game in Avellino 75-83. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Benetton Treviso. It looked good early as Benetton Treviso took an 1-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Air Avellino had a 24-21 second period charge getting the lead and Benetton Treviso was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 75-83. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Air Avellino moved-up to third place, which they share with 6 other teams. Benetton Treviso at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with two games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Air Avellino will play against Banca Tercas (#16) in Teramo in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Benetton Treviso will have a break next round.
