Very expected game when 10th ranked Napoli BK Women (1-3) was edged at home by top-ranked T. La Spezia (4-0) 67-65 on Saturday. Napoli BK Women was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. Strangely Napoli BK Women outrebounded T. La Spezia 43-29 including 32 on the defensive glass. German power forward Petra Glaser (196-81, college: Long Beach St.) fired 16 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. The former international forward Monica Bonafede (186-85) chipped in 9 points and 7 rebounds. T. La Spezia's coach Maurizio Scanzani used a ten-player rotation in such tough game.
