There was a minor upset in Zaragoza where one of their biggest challengers Navarra Pamplona (1-1) was defeated by twelfth ranked Mann Filter (1-1) 63-54 on Saturday. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 23-14. But Navarra Pamplona won second period 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Mann Filter forced 19 Navarra Pamplona turnovers. The best player for the winners was American power forward Jacinta Monroe (193-88, college: Florida St.) who scored 13 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks. International guard Cristina Ouvina (174-90) chipped in 13 points. Serbian power forward Jovana Rad (187-87, agency: Josep and Nicolas) produced 18 points and center Naiara Diez (187-87) added 12 points and 6 rebounds respectively for the guests. Mann Filter left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with 7 other teams including defeated Navarra Pamplona. Mann Filter will meet Real Celta Vigo (#10) on the road in the next round where they are favorite. Navarra Pamplona will play against Gran Canaria (#8) in Las Palmas.
